What happens if your distributor is suspended?

If your mutual fund distributor's ARN is suspended, new purchases, switches and fresh SIP or STP registrations are processed under the Direct Plan, and you are informed. Your existing investments continue and are not redeemed. A suspension is an action against the distributor, not against you, and your right to invest and to move distributor is unaffected.

A suspension is about the distributor, not you

If a distributor's ARN is suspended, it is an action against that distributor for a compliance reason. It is not a penalty on you, and it does not freeze or redeem your investments. Your units stay where they are.

While the ARN is suspended, new purchases, switches and fresh SIP or STP registrations placed under it are processed under the Direct Plan, and you are given intimation (Para 12.3.1.2). In other words, the system keeps your ability to invest working, it simply stops routing new commission to a suspended distributor, and it tells you that is happening.
